Past Perfect Progressive

For me the hardest grammatical use in English is the Past Perfect Progressive. I think that the grammatical part is not so difficult to me. The really difficult part of this past tense to me is that I have some problems to know when do I have to use it. I didn´t care so much about this problem, but now a realzed that this past tense is really useful in English and that I have no choice but to learn to use it.

I did a huge reserach about this past tense, and I´m going to put here in my blog some things that I think are very helpful to star beginnig to learn a little bit about this English time that is very difficult to me. (=

When do we have to use the Past Perfect Progressive?
We use it to put emphasis on the course or duration of an action taking place before a certain time in the past.

4. I (not / walk) had not been walking for a long time, when it suddenly began to rain.
5. How long (learn / she) had she been learning English before she went to London?
6. Frank Sinatra caught the flu because he (sing) had been singing in the rain too long.
7. He (drive) had been driving less than an hour when he ran out of petrol.
8. They were very tired in the evening because they (help) had been helping on the farm all day.
9. I (not / work) hadn´t been working all day; so I wasn't tired and went to the disco at night.

My Super Hero

In the passing of our lives we used to have our own hero. For some, their heroes are fictional characters, and for others their heroes are people of flesh and blood. Actually,   of hero that everyone has is not as important, what really matters is that your hero is someone who can be an example to follow in our lives and their adventures can serve only as lessons in our way. A hero is a person of whom we can rescue all their good characteristics, a person who causes us only inspiration, motivation and good vibes. In my case, I’m going to tell you who´s my super super super hero and, that person is: MY GRANDMOTHER!!!! As we can know now there´s no doubt that my super hero is a flesh and blood one, but I have no doubt that mines is the best one in the world (= . 

At first I´m going to tell you what´s my super hero name: Her name is María Segura. And maybe you are asking why does she is my super hero? Well, she just not was the woman who gave me all her care; also she had been my dayli motor for a several years of my life. She had always being worried for giving me the best and thanks to her I had never needed anything. My grandmother  was always worried for helping me when I was doing my homework,  she feeded me when I was hungry, and she also encouraged me when I was feeling sad. My grandmother had been working since I was a little baby, but even that she always took the necessary time that I had needed. My grandmother was always concerned for caring me be my alarm clock, and she always made my breakfast while I was preparing to school. She had always being concerning about my education and that I always had good grades in college.

My grandmother is the person that I most admire because I know all the effort that she had made all my life to I can get ahead and she always had tried to give me the best. She was the most hardworking and courageous woman in the world and she had the best values​​ that a person may have. On the other hand there is no doubt that I just not have the best grandmother but also, I had the best friend of the universe, she was a good listener, she gave to me the best advices that someone can give. She always was trying to make me happy. The only thing that I can say is that I´m the most blessed person in the world for had a grandmother like her and, I feel so thankful with God for gave me a super HERO like her, because she made my life priceless. She had already passed away, but she will be always in my heart.

She had always been worried for giving me the best and thanks to her I had never needed anything. My mom was always worried for helping me when I was doing my homework,  she fed me when I was hungry, and she also encouraged me when I was feeling sad. My mom had been working since I was a little baby, but even that she always took the necessary time that I had needed. She always is trying to make me happy. I really know that to be a young mom it´s not an easy thing however, I know that my moms deserves the biggest award for being the best mom ever. The only thing that I can say is that I´m the most blessed person in the world for have a mom like her and, I feel so thankful with God for gave me a super HERO like her, because she makes my life priceless.
